Reverie Roundup! (1)

Hello all! Today I was planning to share some eye shadow swatches, but I didn't for 2 reasons. The first is that it's overcast which makes taking photos a real mission. The second is that the neighbours are moving house and I don't want to be that weirdo standing in the front yard with a camera aimed at their arm for 20 minutes trying to get the perfect shot. 'Nuff said. So I've taken a leaf out of my friend Sophie's blog, and I'm doing a favourites post. I'm hoping to make this a fortnightly thing, time allowing. Essentially this 'Reverie Roundup' is just a list of about 5 things that I'm currently loving, whether it be a new purchase or a old favourite. Without further ado, let the 1st Edition commence!

Smelt of Elderberries - Shiro Cosmetics for Femme Fatale Cosmetics
Availability: $9.35 AUD from Femme Fatale Cosmetics (although unfortunately currently sold out).
First up is Smelt of Elderberries, a lip gloss by Shiro available exclusively through Femme Fatale Cosmetics. This was gifted to me by Sophie, and I've been wearing it a lot over the past couple of weeks. It's a vibrant pinky-purple with an intense violet highlight which really dazzles in the sunlight. I'm sure I'll be doing a full review of this in the very near future.

Koi Purple Cheerleader Skirt - Black Milk Clothing
Availability: $65 AUD from Black Milk Clothing.
I bought this skirt when it was released on March 3rd and I've been wearing it ever since. I love the cut of Black Milk's cheerleader skirts, they're really full and flouncy, perfect for twirling in! The koi print reminds me of my time living in Japan, and the purples and teals just work so perfectly together.

Stainless Steel Mug - Zojirushi
Availability: http://www.zojirushi.com/app/online_stores
This might seem like a strange addition to the list, but I bought a couple of these Zojirushi stainless steel mugs when I was living in Japan and now I take one with me everywhere I go. They keep drinks hot or cold for 7 or 8 hours, don't condensate, and have a lock so they won't pop open in your handbag. Plus they come in a range of awesome shimmery colours, which is so much better than the crappy standard colours these products tend to come in here in Australia. I haven't seen them for sale in Australia (I believe they're available from some American stores) but you can always try Ebay or Amazon.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub - Lush
Availability: $9.95 AUD from Lush.
An old favourite, I've been using Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub a lot recently due to some nervous lip biting which has left my lips looking a bit worse for wear. This product exfoliates, helping remove rough or dead skin and leaves your lips looking soft again. My favourite bit is eating all the yummy flavoured sugar off my lips afterwards (yes, I do realise that I'm probably eating the skin I've just removed too, and as gross as it sounds I'm sure we all eat more dead lip-skin even without exfoliating than we realise. Just a bit of extra protein huh?)

Rikki Status Satchel - Guess
Availability: $199 AUD (currently $149.25!) from Guess
Last but not least in this 1st Edition of Reverie Roundup is the Guess Rikki Status Satchel. Normally I'm not really big on expensive name-brand stuff, but my dad bought a Guess bag for me on his recent trip to Melbourne. While the bag was really cute and something that is normally my style, it was a bit too small to hold my uni books which is a requirement of all my handbags until I finish uni in a few months, so I swapped it for the Rikki Status Satchel. This bag has a tonne of room with several compartments and side pockets, and it's large enough to hold my A4 folders. I only wish the handles were just a teeny bit longer, but I can still wear it over my shoulder comfortably.

Look out for the 2nd Edition of Reverie Roundup in about a fortnight's time!

Thanks for reading!
xx Anthea
