Femme Fatale Cosmetics - Shadow Dance, The Masquerade & Blood's Shadow

Hello all! Today the sun came out, so I have the eye shadow swatches that I promised you the other day. I have 3 to show you, Shadow Dance, The Masquerade and Blood's Shadow all by Femme Fatale Cosmetics. I wore these 3 together the other night in a smokey look and they complement each other really well. You'll have to excuse the redness on my arm in these photos, I used normal sticky tape instead of masking tape when applying the swatches and my skin hated me for it. These were all swatched over Concrete Mineral's Electric Eye Primer and applied with a Medusa's Make Up shadow brush.

The Masquerade

Description from the website: The Masquerade is a loose mineral based eye shadow. In the jar it looks like a soft grey with very subtle pink shimmer, yet when applied the base comes out more purple/blue and the pink shift is also more noticeable.

My thoughts: I really don't think there's much that I can add to the website description, it's spot on. I will say though that this is one of my favourite Femme Fatale eye shadows, it's great for blending or wearing on its own over the whole eyelid. Applies evenly and lasts all day (when worn over primer).

Availability: Available directly from Femme Fatale Cosmetics.

Price: From $3.85 AUD, depending on size.

Would I recommend it? A big resounding yes.

Shadow Dance

Description from the website: Shadow Dance is a loose mineral based eye shadow. It has a cool grey base with a light blue-steel undertone, and a scattering of blue and pink sparkles. It's a rather delicate colour that can be blended out to be a softer everyday shade.

My thoughts: I haven't worn this one too often, but it is super pretty and I really should be wearing it more. I've applied it pretty heavily in my swatch, but I trust that it can be blended out to softer shade of grey. It has a somewhat soft metallic look in some lights, which just adds to it's prettiness.

Availability: Available directly from Femme Fatale Cosmetics.

Price: From $3.85 AUD, depending on size.

Would I recommend it? Yes.

Blood's Shadow

Description from the website: Blood's Shadow is a loose mineral based eye shadow. It is a black based shade full of gold, blue and pink sparkles - and really shimmers in the sunlight!

My thoughts: Once again the website description hits the nail right on the head. Blood's Shadow is perfect for incorporating into a smokey eye look and can become opaque very easily. This is one of my most-used Femme Fatale shadows, I use it on my lower lash line daily as a liner where it happily stays put for as long as I need it to. If you don't want it to be quite so solid in colour try applying it without a primer.

Availability: Available directly from Femme Fatale Cosmetics.

Price: From $3.85 AUD, depending on size.

Would I recommend it? Once again, a big fat yes.

Thanks for reading!
