Hello all! Today I have another colouring post for you, this time from the Secret Garden colouring book by Johanna Basford.

My thoughts: This is the book that marked the beginning of my journey into adult colouring. As the name suggests, it is PACKED with lots of leaves and flowers, which I have to admit can become a bit repetitive after awhile. A good way to get around this though is to be a bit abstract, leaves don't have to be green! There are plenty of full-page garden scenes in this book as well as designs like this owl one that are more of a single figure on a page. Overall it's a lovely book, my one caution is that pens can go through to the other side of the page, so be careful not to leave your pen in one spot on the page for too long.
Tools: For this particular design I used Staedtler Triplus pens for the tree, and gel ballpoint pens in pastel, neon and metallic shades from Smiggle for the owls.
Would I recommend it: Yes.
